The island is built in the shape of a palm tree, consisting of a trunk, 16 fronds, and a surrounding crescent island — an 11-kilometer breakwater. The island measures 5 by 5 kilometers and could accommodate over 800 football fields. The island is connected to the mainland by a 300-meter bridge, and the crescent is connected to the top of the palm by an underwater tunnel.
Palm Jumeirah is known for its luxurious hotels, villas, restaurants, clubs, and shops. One of its main attractions is the Atlantis The Palm — a large entertainment complex with a water park, beach, aquarium, and numerous restaurants and shops. The tall Fairmont Palm Hotel, which is one of the symbols of the area, is also worth noting.
Palm Jumeirah is a great place for relaxation and entertainment. Visitors can enjoy water sports, take a yacht ride, play golf, or simply enjoy the beautiful view of the city and the bay.
